Arnold Schwarzenegger has skillfully crafted his image from barbarian, bodybuilder how lacked intelligence to a witty intelligent politician. Throughout his career his celebrity status was defined by his muscles. This lead him to star in many action movies where he was portrayed as the "white" muscle bound man. Then Arnold began to star in more family oriented roles where he became a father figure in many of his roles. This modeled Arnold s real life because he was assimilated into the white American cultural and he was a father. As early as 1991 Arnold has shown ambitions to run as a politician. He even remarked he would like to run for president. After hearing this concerned citizens started petitioning against this. They have started a site that is against a constitutional amendment to let Arnold run for president. "Americans Against Arnold has launched a campaign against the movement attempting to amend Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution that bars foreign usurpers from becoming President" (arnoldexposed). This group has expressed interest in Arnolds ties to Nazi extremist. They also add they will not support anyone who admires Hitler as their president. Recent scandals have arisen when Arnold was found to of fathered a child by his former maid. Many media outlets said this will not affect his career. They say his biggest problems now It has to do with being 63 years old and physically wrecked — unless they're going to make `Terminator 6: The Golden Years,'" said David Leibowitz, a Phoenix-based public relations and crisis communications consultant. "The love child is almost the least of his worries." Although Arnold received some negative publicity for this it will not last. Arnold s decision to star in a new Terminator has made some impacts on his image. If Arnold does star in a new Terminator he could transform his physical image from weak to strong. This will be decided by the audience who will either applaud his performance or despise it. With a successful Terminator movie and success in political office Arnold will be able to transform his image into a positive one.
