This song is very subjective.  However with clues from the text you can understand the actual meaning of the song.

This particular song, not artist inspires me to be creative.  I do not know much about this artist except that she grew up in California and worked hard to become a musician.  Her hard work inspires me to do the same.  This song is also very inspirational.  Everyone knows that a firework is something we shoot into the sky and it burst in colors.  But in this song katy uses subtext to show the underlying meaning of the song.  I believe the song stands for breaking out of your shell and stop being part of the norm.  Also letting yourself be free of others judgments and do what you want.  Once you shoot off your own firework inside of yourself you can be truly creative and free.
